My friend got her Dexcom delivered today, and we were both extremely excited. Unfortunately, the functionality was an incredible letdown. Not only did her phone crash several times, but if power saver is on, there's nothing you can do. It eats at battery life very quickly, too, which is quite honestly disappointing. Considering that the G6 was perfectly fine and that this "upgrade" was mandatory, the bugs should really be worked out, especially for an app people rely on to live.

Keep your numbers on your sensor with each new one. Frequent restarts that bring you completely back to the tutorials. I didn't know this the first time it happened and had to go threw to get a new sensor put in. Major problem. Also it doesn't let you adjust your target levels on this app specifically, so my range numbers are not accurate. I have to use a second app to be able to determine my current levels and ranges. Super inconvenient Why do I have to put in my personal info to get help???

I've had to do a factory reset 4 times in the last month. I lose all data on the app, but fortunately, it's still available on Dexcom Clarity app (get both apps). Often, I can't get a reading on my phone, though it's in my pocket, so I always carry the reader. The reader will log the 4 digit code necessary when you start a new sensor. If you have to do a factory reset you don't need to insert another sensor because you don't have the original box. Get the numbers off the reader.
