Supergirl is a pretty good show though I will say that for most of the third season they didnt do much with the storyline and focused in making political statements, not saying I necessarily disagree with what they were saying it's just I didnt appreciate how much they distracted from making any progression. It's also super cheesy so you kind of have to deal with that if you're gonna watch it. Also it gets way better after the first season that's when CW actually took over, overall I like it tho

Supergirl, what was a decent enough first season fell sharply half way through the second. This culminated in the utter dismantling of Superman's character in the final episodes, and don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Superman, I recognize his place as effectively the "Ultimate Boy Scout" of DC, I find him boring. To have him brainwashed with Silver Kryptonite was honestly a clever twist, but to turn and have him doubt himself after being beaten in combat by someone other than who he thought he was fighting is absurd. Seriously, it doesn't matter if you're going "all out" and "not holding back", if you're not actually fighting who you think you are, then you are not fighting at your best. Also, neither Kara nor Kal are "stronger" than the other their powers are the same without some outside interference, that's just lazy writing to have an excuse for Supergirl to save the world when Superman isn't incapacitated as in the end of Season 1. And this is forgiving the fact that in the first season, Supergirl solved the problem of Reactron with the *exact opposite* method of how to properly deal with his "demon core". Coating it in Lead would have initiated a fision reaction.

The most apt way to describe it is that they stuffed so much content in the pilot, everything comes off as shallow. The first act is especially dismal, with horrible narration, clumsy girlishness in front of an attractive man, setup for a love triangle... go watch the SNL sketch with Black Widow. Plus, I count her rejecting her powers, accepting them, then rejecting them, then accepting them, in about a 40 minute time span. If it doesn't improve, there is far too much good TV I have to catch up with.
