About this show

During a 12-hour period when all crime - including murder - is legal, a group of seemingly unrelated characters cross paths in their small town in an altered America. While the clock winds down, some will fight, some will hide, and others will embrace what it means to Purge to its fullest extent - whether for revenge, personal gain, protection, or unadulterated glee. As each character is forced to reckon with his or her past and plot how to better their futures, they soon discover how far they will go on Purge Night.

An ok second season does not excuse the garbage the first season brought. First 2 episodes are good, but the season falls apart quickly after that with stories that drag and become nonsensical. There are moments that shine, but those moments are too few and far between the ridiculous plot points presented here. It's frustrating because the ingredients for a great show are there, but the writing ruins it. Second season was better, but not enough for a better rating. Do not recommend.

it doesn't compare to the movies in my opinion, but it was still pretty fun to watch. i like the amount of creative kills and blood it delivered. wish there would have been a little more horror or suspense, but pretty solid show overall. 3.5/5

I didn't feel they wrote likable characters to care about. The three main stories involve generic and banal people I don't think anyone would hope they survive the night.
