About this show

Inspired by the life of Joanna Coles, chief content officer of Hearst Magazines, "The Bold Type" follows a group of spirited, modern young women who work at "Scarlet," a global women's magazine headed by the high-powered editor-in-chief, Jacqueline (Melora Hardin). Jane (Katie Stevens) has recently been promoted to her dream job as a writer, Kat (Aisha Dee) is the newly appointed social media director, and Sutton (Meghann Fahy) is still toiling away as an assistant. These empowered young friends help each other navigate life's challenges as they strive to achieve their professional goals while searching for love.
