As an Atlanta native and someone who lives here and has for all of my life, this show depicts the city very accurately. The show touches on real life issues that normal entertainment is too afraid to do. Rather than trying to take us away from the problems we face as a nation Glover addresses these types of issues in the form of surreal and dark humor.

If you're expecting a Troy Barnes-community vibe then you are truly not a fan of Donald Glover. He's not the silly man-child we all loved. He has, for a while now, been slowly changing. Taking a more serious approach in the content he puts out. If you have been following him after leaving community, Childish Gambino or interviews, this should be no surprise. I am very confident that you will LOVE this show if your image of him is more than just community. I had to get that out of the way, so you know upfront. This show is a drama/comedy, but most of all REAL! I love how unique it is. It shows the struggles people go through behind the scenes. Daily life in real time. It throws in real life social problems. The kind everyone looks away at or don't speak publicly about. It doesn't poof you away to the scenes for the sake of moving the story along. The characters are the story. Not every scene is filled with this amazing or devastating event. Don't get me wrong I think the show is hilarious. it's the little things in life that can make or break your day. This show captures that in a good way.

Don't attempt to watch this knowing who childish Gambino is watch this as if Donald Glover is just a name...The show is very Interesting and I often find myself in to the show way more than I thought I'd expect. It takes you through the process of being a black person and the showcases many of the day to day environments we face, from how we talk what we see and adversities we face. It's definitely worth a watch not goin to be for everyone. The dark comedic undertone is what makes this show what it is, real
