Season-only
Grab a cup of hot cocoa or snuggle up beneath the mistletoe -- enjoy Christmas the Peanuts way! It's bound to be a white Christmas with this classic! From creator Charles M. Shultz and producer Bill Meléndez, it's A Charlie Brown Christmas. Not only does this timeless special have the distinction of warming hearts young and old, but it has won both an Emmy® and a Peabody Award. Whether you are seeing this holiday masterpiece for the first time or the first time in years, you have doubtless heard of that ol' blockhead Charlie Brown and the little tree that could. Filled with mythology as the gang tries to put on a holiday play, kids big and small will end up with a pretty decent dance party, a lesson for the ages and some good old-fashioned fun. As for the tree … it's amazing what a little love can do.

I'm not sure there is another Christmas show that takes me back to my childhood quite like this one. There is one seen in particular that transports me back in time to an exact moment and memory unlike any thing else from my adolescence. It is where Charlie Brown is standing outside at night, holding his little tree, he is replaying Linus's biblical speech. There is a twinkling star in the background and Charlie decides he is not going to let the gang and commercialism ruin his Christmas. I love this show.

I loved the songs as a kid, but I didn't fully appreciate this Christmas special until I understood the commercialism of Christmas and the true Gospel message of Yeshua(Jesus). The original 1965 Christmas special and the one done in 1982 are both great, much better than the more recent non-religious Christmas episodes.

I always love sitting down with my family and watching Charlie Brown around the holidays. The charlie brown Christmas special shows that a small thing can bring a group of people together. That is how I feel when I watch this. I highly recommend this.
