I honestly have no idea WHY I bothered to rent this abysmal mess. I love CG movies, even some Dream Works ones. This however is just bad, and I mean BAAAD. The jokes are very stupid, the humor very bland to non-existent, and the singing DEAR GOD THE SINGING is it normal now to have a cliche song and in this case songs of old that are so badly butchered it makes me cringe hearing the originals. I know this is for kids, but there are movies that honestly are tastefully done and this is definitely NOT one of them. Now lets talk plot. This is in no way a well thought out story. Plenty of times during this movie I had to actually sit and question why this happened or why that happened. The ending was far too predictable and that is a problem for me because I like a movie that can twist things and add spice to it. Once again, Trolls fails to even reach a sub-par level to even remotely be of any value. The bottom line is this movie was a waste of time and energy for everyone involved. I hate to say this but most Dream Works pictures definitely come up short. I can honestly say I do not look forward to upcoming Dreamworks movies if this is the benchmark they set.

Ugh. I gave this a chance because I love Anna Kendrick and like Justin Timberlake. I should have known that even their skill couldn't raise a Dreamworks animated flick to quality. The animation is colorful, but not very impressive, and I really dislike the character designs, and the music is garbage. Like most *beep* animated kids movies, the songs are painfully contemporary and overly slick with the likes of Autotune. Just a bummer of a movie.

Delightfully fun! You'll either be smiling and joyfully bouncing in your seat while singing along or puking rainbows from a colorful, happiness, overload. Great for kids and those adults still connected to their inner child. Personally disappointed that Google is charging so much more than Amazon for the HD version though.
