Set against the music of Belle and Sebastian, Daniel Ribeiro's coming of age tale, THE WAY HE LOOKS is a fun and tender story about friendship and the complications of young love. Leo is a blind teenager who’s fed up with his overprotective mother and the bullies at school. Looking to assert his independence, he decides to study abroad to the dismay of his best friend, Giovana. When Gabriel, the new kid in town, teams with Leo on a school project, new feelings blossom in him that make him reconsider his plans. Meanwhile, Giovana, grows jealous of this new found companionship as tensions mount between her and Leo.

Another sleepless night had me bored. just came for another basic plot and while some of it was basic i felt like this movie provided more than that and representing not only the LGBTQIA+ community but the blind one too oof this movie was just what i need at 5 in the morning :)

IMAGINE BEING BLIND, a teenager, being bullied at school and suddenly realizing that you're gay on top of everything. All Leo wanted was a kiss. And the last person he thought would give it to him was his "friend" Gabriel. This film is an awesome coming of age and coming out experience. I loved seeing these two guys together. I wish they had made a sequel.

My friend informed me of this movie and I must say I am not disappointed in the slightest. I really enjoy "The coming of age" movie types and this went way past my expectations. I would love to see a squeal or a continuation of this story. It was worth adding to my collection. I just watched it yesterday on Netflix. Yes it is on Netflix, but I think it is worth adding to your movie collect. For those that think it is just another cheese movie, please watch. I am not into the "cheese"movie scene and this didn't hit anywhere near those moments. You will enjoy this. Maybe not to a 5 star level, but you will not be disappointed. If you do not know Portuguese, don't watch this movie while tired. You need to be awake and ready to read. Still worth every penny. Enjoy.
