About this movie

THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST focuses on the last twelve hours of Jesus of Nazareth's life. The film begins in the Garden of Olives where Jesus has gone to pray after the Last Supper. Jesus must resist the temptations of Satan. Betrayed by Judas Iscariot, Jesus is then arrested and taken within the city walls of Jerusalem where leaders of the Pharisees confront him with accusations of blasphemy and his trial results in a condemnation to death.

"He endured the cross for the joy set before him." Jesus death on the cross was God's singular act of redemption for humanity for all of time. It was His expression of love for you, to redeem you from your sins, and bring healing to your spirit, soul, and body. He experienced the rejection and shame of the cross so that you could be set free from rejection, shame, sin, and death. "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Today, you can be set free from rejection, shame, sin, and death by accepting the free gift of salvation offered to you by Jesus the Christ, if you simply repent of your sins, and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Pray this: "God, I have sinned against you by trying to live life my way. I repent and turn from all my sins and ask for your forgiveness. I cannot make up for what I've done or earn salvation, but today I surrender my spirit, soul, and body to you and ask you Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. I accept your free gift of Salvation and commit to serving you all the days of my life."

Amazing it doesn't come close to what Yeshua experienced but it's close enough for our brains to understand. Plus Yeshua is black not caucasian, it explain that in the bible "His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;" Revelation 1:14‭-‬19 KJV the white Jesus came from the image of a man named "Cesare Borgia" and it was forced on Catholic Churches as the false image of Christ.

As someone who believes in a Creator and thinks that EVERYONE could learn a thing or two by studying the life of Christ, I think this movie is excellent. There is documentation of Jesus in multiple religions, no one can really debate that he was a wonderful being. The "bloodbath" that people are complaining about is historically accurate. This depiction of the crucifixion lines up with what is known about them. Jesus of Nazareth had a particularly gruesome one, based on HOW they nailed him and where, whereas not everyone was crucified in the same way. If you aren't a Christian, I don't think you should be saying how this "would" make you feel if you were one. Christians believe that this man, Jesus, literally died for each and every one of them. So this is the most realistic thing they've ever seen in regards to the person who saved their soul by dying for them. I thought this movie was really well made, I appreciate that Gibson didn't glamorize it, add dramatic music intended to pull on your heart strings, or add too many embellishments. I really love that they are speaking Aramaic, and that for once they didn't cast the most white looking person possible to play Jesus.
