A charming immersive movie/theatre play hybrid that would be a great way to start the holidays. It has great music, thrilling action, good comedy, and an unpredictable adventerous plot with a shocking plot twist. My main issue with this movie is that it does have some plot holes that needed to be fixed: like the questions that the 2 silly guards ask before entering, & it was dumb & too fast, & a pointless plot hole where Klara is riding in a carraige during the ballet performance, and has some dialogue bits that should be cut out. Back to the positive side: it's amazing how somthing small can become big like one mouse (the mouse king) and than an swarm/army of mice & can make shapes. The character of Karla has developed VERY well, because she is brave & determined, Also: what she did is made a HUGE mistake which is giving the key to the sugar plum & karla has to fix it ( deeper meaning: when you made a mistake and it's your fault, you need to fix it once and for all & it's a price to pay). There's another thing: in the film, they said the best thing that parents ever created is sons and daughters. Overall: a movie that is highly recommended for the whole family. Kids ages 8 & up.

I saw this at El Capitan, I was super excited to see the film. Although it's production and costumes are absolutely beautiful, the characters seem distant from one another. I feel that the film could have benefited if they would have gone into depth with each character rather than simply introducing them and carrying on. I feel like it had a lot of potential but there was just a lot missing, and I was unfortunately disappointed. It's definitely one of those "watch once if you wanna but you're not missing out on much if you don't" kinda films.

Why Is This Here

The movie wasn't good and it made many leaps in logic to move along a plot that was just bad. There are a lot of scenes that seemed really random and out of place; like the scene with the main character and the sugar plum fairy in the theatre. The theatre scene served to give us some backstory, there's a moment in it there for no reason but to show us the the sugar plum fairy can fly. The characters are really boring and don't have much of a personality. The ones that do don't have a good one.
