It tried to be Fallout but failed. There are some grizzly concepts in the movie, but the idea that no one washes their face is a little ridiculous. I couldn't make it past their dinner date with the black family. There was a lot of wasted time with the plow gang?? Maybe that came back into play later. Idk. It was just boring and dumb. The concept had potential but it had the stupidity of the walking dead. Bad guys storm the house they are in and they hide in attic. The guy goes down stairs leaves her with a rifle which she looks like she doesn't know how to use. He grabs a screwdriver, yes , a screwdriver and goes Sam Fusher throughout the house. Then little miss "i dont understand survival or stealth or how have i survived this long?" Decides to instead of being quiet and vigilant; i will play headphones as loud as possible. Luckily the guy is in fact Sam Fisher and takes down 2 all stealthy like with a screwdriver. I would have sold her to a gang and stayed where I was. She was way too uptight to be worth the trouble. How can you be p whipped when she isnt giving any out? Dont rent.

This is a pretty good dark action movie, with a little bit of comedy. For the most part, the acting was good enough to sell you on what was being portrayed. It wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't bad either. Even one of the kid actors was passable. The story works except for one small thing, but overall it's mostly a solid narrative. What really makes this movie, though, is the gore, cinematography, and effects. The movie has some incredibly unique and beautiful shots, and most of the time it can be a feast to the eyes. Thankfully, though, they don't make the mistake of being artsy with every shot. The violence was gruesome and disgustingly creative and the gore looked very realistic. As for the effects, they seemed to all be practical. No CGI except the planes in the beginning, and that's impressive because to my knowledge this isn't a big budget production. Even Hollywood movies don't put forth the effort required to make so many practical effects. There were so many scenes that included destruction that probably had to be filmed in one take, which just makes this even more impressive. As a narrative, it's passable, but as a film, it's it's nothing short of impressive.
