About this movie

Suicide Squad: Extended Cut includes extra footage not seen in theaters. It's the must-own version with more action and more Squad! Also includes the Theatrical Version.
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

This movie is a disaster, pure and simple. Its plot is rushed and nonsensical, its handling of its characters borders on asinine, the villain is a massive disappointment, and it falls victim to the annoying "giant death hole in sky our heroes have to close" climax so many comic book films use. But the worst thing about this film is the tremendous amount of wasted potential. The concept is wonderful, as are Margot Robbie and Will Smith as Harley Quinn and Deadshot. They have a great chemistry, and clearly enjoy themselves. The film is strangely self-aware of this, however, and introduces them to the audience no less than 3 times in the first 15 minutes. That means far less characterization for everyone else on the team, some whom are introduced only to die minutes later. It's like a self-parody of its own good concept. I haven't mentioned Jared Leto's Joker, and that's because he's in the film for about as long as it took you to read this review. This movie is a mess, but there likely was a good film somewhere here. Once.

I generally liked the movie. It was fun; lots of action, and a decent amount of comedy and suspense. The characters are generally OK when it comes to development, but it's nothing like Marvel in that sense. It would have been better to follow the Marvel play book and develop the characters more before throwing them into 1 movie. I also wanted to see more depth in the characters. It's no Dark Knight Trilogy in that respect; I can think of only 1 or 2 characters in Suicide Squad that have some depth. 4/5

I LOVED Suicide Squad so much. I love how jareo Leto played as the Jocker in this movie, he played the role soo well. And I love the new Harley Quinn look. I could go on forever but I won't because that would take too long. The only other thing I'm going to say is I love dead shot in this film, the way Will Smith played the character, it seemed that he was actually real and actually there. Over all I love this movie and I recommend any DC comic fan or just anyone who likes a good keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat type movie/or just a thrill. 😊
