I was a recreational leader at the prison this movie was shot and I actually know all of the inmates that were involved in the making of this movie. I even had opportunity to be in the movie but due to the fact that at that time I was dealing with a Prejudice system not only for inmates but for staff, women and people of color, so I had to take a stand and leave. But I thought the movie was good in the inmate did a good job. I also think Jeffrey Wright is a very underrated actor.

I loved it! My top 4 movie after Shottas, Blue Hill Ave, (All Star Wars), then this! He reminds me of my Uncle (RIP Uncle Mongo) I was locked up with for 3 1/2 years. He was 32 years in and about to get paroled out when he passed a year before he was getting out. This movie always makes me think of him and tear up.
