This...movie...attacked me viciously and I was not prepared for the whiplash betrayal. Mary Poppins is a marble statue with a God-complex. She's cold-hearted, cold-minded, and cold-souled. I actively hated her every second she was on screen. Bart is her High Priest sacrificing naive children upon her altar. The only redeeming character is Mr. Banks, he's the only one that needs to learn a lesson and does. I wish I could get my money back from this...thing...

This movie became part of my life philosophy. I saw it at the young impressionable age of 9, and learned that attitude can sweeten even bitter circumstances. My daughter, nieces and nephew witnessed the 'magic' I created for them as they grew up. Mary Poppins will always be part of who I strive to become.

I have an old VHS copy of this movie. But I had to set it aside after my VHS player crashed. After watching "Saving Mr. Banks" I am now wanting more then ever to get my video digitized so I can enjoy it again.
