It was a good start. But it gone bad in the middle where Leilia got captured and pregnant. I mean all of their kind wants to get pregnant? Don't they know how to decline? And also they didn't state what happened to Maquia's child. Moreover, the film seems to be leading to where the director wanted it to be by force. Although it's not really that good, the ending is perfect. I even cried. All in all, I'm not saying it's perfect, but at least it's worth to give a try.

I really like Maquia. The story will make you think in your own life (the appreciation of the family and how difficult could be for both sides to grow). It was a surprise how well the story and animation were made.

watched it on a plane once and it goes pretty slow. If you're a person that can take all the time in the world, yeah. But as an anime fan, some anime episodes or movies go fast. or your just bored and want to watch it.
