Maanja is an emotional suspense thriller about young criminals living in the slums, the environment which fosters their behaviour, and how the police, the judiciary, the media and the society reacts. Under strange circumstances, four teen aged friends are provoked to plan the of a senior police inspector. The youths are arrested and investigated, which creates a media sensation.
