This movie added no fright to my night. In fact, after watching this I did not need a night light while in bed, and....AND I went to the bathroom during the witching hour with the lights off. Watch it on Netflix or rent it once it hits the dollar section of your nearest Blockbuster, or video store. Btw, I'm a big fan of horror and maybe I missed something, but I seriously don't know what all of these "horror buffs" are saying that it was really good. A slight spoiler- I couldn't take the annoying little girl or the cheesy dead bodies with no heads walking around and floating giving praise, but maybe that is your thing.

So disappointed. I'm easily scared and am not a fan of horror. I am a fan, however, of a well thought out plot and character development. This had neither. I love movies that give little subtle clues that when looking back you see how it played into the plot. I didnt get any of that from this movie. It just wasnt good. I'm a fan of Toni Collette and Gabriel Byrne. The only saving grace this film had was their performance. I'm glad I didnt have to pay for it

I've watched this movie three times, and I still don't know what it was about. Some of the acting of the scary parts were cheesy, like the part where the mother was being chased by the ghost she found in the attic. This movie had a very dark vibe. I walked out of the theater when the son went into the tree house, because i had seen enough at that point.
