About this movie

Disney Channel charms witches, ghouls and kids alike in Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge. Kimberly J. Brown reprises her role as Marnie in the bewitching sequel to the Halloween favorite. Grandmother Aggie (Reynolds) sweeps Marnie and Sophie off to Halloweentown to investigate a series of strange occurrences. When they arrive, the vibrant community seems to have lost its magic. The citizens, including the gargoyles, are gray and boring. It isn't long before Aggie discovers that her spell book is stolen and the trio decides to set out and find it. They discover that an angry warlock has taken the book and plans to permanently turn every human into whatever costume they are wearing at midnight on Halloween. It's a race against time, as Marnie must use her skills to defeat the young warlock threatening to change Halloweentown for eternity.

Marnie took kal in her grandmother's witch room and took a spell book the book read bilomgisa and stole it he as he plans to change Halloween town into a grey spell and plans to turn the humans into creature's at midnight in the mortal world Dylan and Sophie. at home Alex came in with a giant frog costume and a gremiln mask and Gwen said you should be in bed instead the went to the costume PARTY at the high school and Marnie and Luke try a different way to go back in time or be stuck there forever or poof gone forever but instead. They went a too a time line to warn her mother about the creature. spell and what. Time was it maybe 11:OO and midnight will pass on in the mortal world and Dylan and Sophie drove the broom to warn the mother about the creature spell and turn her into a gremiln. and scared Dylan and Sophie did not know what to do. but calling her sister Marnie and Luke and aggie and gort trying to get the portal open on time or kal might say you can't. Never beat me and said a spell by creature by mortal to heal our world and the world devide for now on we each can create a portal and now then each side that is how the storyline ENDS

I absolutely love this movie with my whole being, as its the perfect movie for Halloween and one of those sequels that surpasses the original. However, I have to dock a star because like Amazon Prime and iTunes, the movie is in the wrong aspect ratio. Because of that, the quality falters and is not as good as the DVD, since it is presented in the correct aspect ratio. If Disney could just distribute these films in the correct ratio and in HD, this would be be given five stars easily.

Just like the first Halloweentown, it's a very hokey straight-to-Disney-Channel movie, but once again it's actually pretty good. It's a revenge plot that makes sense in the series and tries to follow through with the plan from the first film (in a roundabout way). It's a bit jarring that the town square is so different from the first film (which is quickly explained) and listening to what Disney writers think the term "backdoor" means in the tech field is hilarious (and highly unrecommended).
