To be perfect honest, I saw the original first before seeing this film and I have to say: Everyone's right. This film blows. Not of the jokes land, the character development was terrible (and I thought Jurassic World had bad character development) and even though they kinda did played their respects to the name, but failed miserably. I have no problem with cast, it just the script, THAT the problem! Everything else, other than the cast, was bad. This film will basically be forgettable.

Visually, this film is quite appealing. Vibrant and colorful special effects are complimented by the beautiful Lower Manhattan. This is the only positive thing there is to say about the female-led attempt at a Ghostbusters revival. The script is similar to that of what a high school drama student in her freshman year would produce when told to write a modern comedy, using Comedy Central as her only source of study. You are better off watching "Birdemic: Shock and Terror"

Having seen the original in the theater when it was first released this doesn't even come close to doing it justice. Which is a shame because when you give Leslie Jones good material the woman can own it. I don't even think Kate McKinnon needs good material to be funny cause she was the only part of this movie that even came close. The third act was much better than the first two but it couldn't save the film. The cameos of the original Ghostbusters added very little to the movie.
