About this movie

Set in a colorful yet gritty 1970s Boston, Free Fire opens with Justine (Oscar® winner Brie Larson), a mysterious American businesswoman, and her wise-cracking associate Ord (Armie Hammer) arranging a black-market weapons deal in a deserted warehouse between IRA arms buyer Chris (Cillian Murphy) and shifty South African gun runner Vernon (Sharlto Copley). What starts as a polite if uneasy exchange soon goes south when tensions escalate and shots are fired, quickly leading to a full-on Battle Royale where it’s every man (and woman) for themselves.

Do people think this is YouTube? Because if you want to review a movie based on a trailer, go to YouTube. They have the comment section specially designed for halfwit morons with small pricks. If you're too lazy to watch the entirety of the movie, or just don't want to, fine. Just don't review it and bring down the rating of this film because you think the trailer looks stupid. Also, how does the google play store allow this to happen? You have enough money to make god damn robots that can sprint, but not enough to pay a department to oversee reviews which only hurt the movie. If someone doesn't like it after seeing it they have the right to give a bad review. If you HAVE NOT seen the movie you do NOT have the right to criticise it. Just because you've seen the trailer or saw a review by some youtuber doesn't make you a reliable critic, you cocky legless hippo cunt. Since I live in the great USA this review is MORE likely to get deleted because it has "bad" or "mean" words. Sorry did my words offend you? Lastly. The review, haha. I understand how some may not want to see this film. The film is primarily based in one setting, which for some is a turn off. It was for me as well, although due to the golden cast I gave it a chance. I hope others give this film a chance as well. It doesn't have a traditional film structure, but it does entertain with its unique conflict, quirky satire, action and my personal favorite which is a wide range of funny accents. Hopefully you give it a watch.

This could of have been better. It felt like a movie made in the 90's, back when gangster films were all competing in the cinema with witty dialogue, crazy characters and and loads of style. Except this film had very little. It starts off with an attempt at a Lock Stock vibe and quickly descends into mediocrity. Ending with little to say or show for it.

It did lull here and there, but for a movie with little to no character development it surely managed to keep me watching until the end. The scenes of actual action were well shot but for a movie trapped inside of one tense warehouse building, there's little room for any narrative or backstory. So literally all you get here is a lot of gunshots and some witty banter. Brie Larson is always amazing in anything she does though. This just wasn't a great vehicle for her talent unfortunately.
