Not my cup of tea. Since it was Nolan who did the Dark Knight and with all the reviews, I thought it was a no brainer. I rented it, but did not finish watching it. It was slow paced and I could not get into the storyline. It was a bunch of troops waiting to be rescued and some people on a boat going to Dunkirk at different timelines. I was falling alseep so I might have missed some important parts to the story. Woke up when there were explosions!

This movie was a disappointment. The three storylines are disjointed, poor acting, and poor dialogue. While I was watching it, I was wondering if I was watching an unedited version of the film. The movies bounces around between stories and timelines that seem unrelated and poorly tied together. The scenes are so poorly put together, no matter what order they were put in, it would have felt the same. It was very difficult to understand the order in which things happened and the poor attempts at creating suspense failed. Don't waste your time on even renting this movie.

Bought this movie without having seen it in theaters or read reviews about it. Had heard nothing but good about the film, which may have set it up a little higher in my expectations. Even though there is a hint that the 3 stories followed in the film run at different time intervals (1week/1day/1hour), it was too disjointed for me. I honestly had a hard time recognizing any of the soldiers throughout, which made it hard to relate with any of them. The climax seemed too forced. Really just a bunch of army boys looking at the sea for rescue, very repetitive plane fights, and a man with two boys sailing for a day, all in 106 minutes of screen time. Disappointed overall.
