This movie is not only a perfect representation of Oakland through a fictional story, but it should also be seem and respected as a historical piece for depicting what Bay Area natives have been going through. From the gentrification, purchase of property in order to raise value/rent, the transplants moving in and the culture/history that's fading away.

This movie tells the story of witnessing the police shooting of an unarmed black man and seeing the psychological aspect to it. Rafael and Daveed did an AMAZING job of writing this movie and starring in it. This movie has many themes to it: police brutality, gentrification, family, and stereotyping. The relationship between Collin and Miles should be something that you need to pay attention on. I'm not writing a review because I like Daveed Diggs, Rafael Casal, Tisha Campbell-Martin, and Jasmine Cephas Jones. I'm writing this review so you can understand why they wrote the movie like how they did. I HIGHLY recommend this movie, especially during a time like this.

AMAZING I can't even begin to describe how good this movie is. The writers have managed so convey so much emotion in all the scenes and what in what unfolds. In times it even manages to have funny moments, so hard to do when dealing with such serious issues. This movie is eye-opening and full of hope. A must watch especially given the recent riots and protests happening at the moment. We all need to be more educated on how we can change and improve the society in which we live.
