About this movie

With all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Big Hero 6 is an action-packed comedy adventure that introduces Baymax, a lovable personal companion robot who forms a special bond with robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada. When a devastating turn of events catapults them into the midst of a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to Baymax and his diverse group of friends — adrenaline junkie Go Go Tomago, neatnik Wasabi, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred — who transform into a band of unlikely heroes.

This movie was very disappointing. The pacing collapses quickly under the stress of the small time slot, most of the characters are bland plot vessels and the film has a weirdly regressive attitude towards nerd culture, science and technology--not entirely negative but nonetheless remarkably OIL fashioned in it's perplexed Zoo-like awe at the things stereotypically nerdy people do. At first it seemed like the robot was going to be taken in a fascinating direction but he ender up merely an excellent rendition of the Robots are People Too shtick. And don't even get me started on Fred or the wince-inducing"San-Fran-Sokyo"- - which was as lazily conceived and as weirdly whitewashed (given it's premise) as it is terribly, terribly named. Well... that's not fair, the name is far Too awful to top. It's a shame to see so much money and talent produce something so mediocre but even that would have been more tolerable if some of the 1st act ambition shone through into act 3.

I watched all of the trailors on this on You Tube, and couldn't wait to see it for real. I didn't see it in the theature, but I did watch it with my family. My family and I all loved it. I reccomend it for every family ever to exist. The characters are great, the storyline is great, and the effects are great. The whole thing is great! Actually, maybe more than great! I also love how the movie seemed to take place ina futureistic version of Japan or something. Except there didn't seem to be any Japanese people in it, so that was weird. Plus nobody seemed to speak Japanese, so IDK. Overall, the movie was really really great! Thank you for reading my review about Big Hero 6, and I hope I could help you choose to watch it. Thanks!
