Mia Wasikowska (Helen), Aaron Johnson (Joe) and Brendan Gleeson (Dr. Holloran) join a prestigious, international cast that includes Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Janet McTeer, Brenda Fricker and Pauline Collins.

Ratings and reviews

Refreshing & Original. I very much enjoyed this film. The characters were distinct and the story kept me interested. The era in which it's set is very appealing to me. I like that it wasn't some remake of a tired, redundant script.

Loved every moment of it. But for the subject matter, it feels like a work of the era in which it is set. Of course, a work on such a subject would never have been published then, but I'm glad this one was. Thank you, Glenn Close! That was an extraordinary piece of work.

This is a waste of time and money. The movie looks good but it stops downloading and will not let me try again.
