John E. Thomas

Fifty-four year old Thomas John returns to the writing field after a life-changing illness that required back surgery to remove a rare infection wrapped around his spinal cord. He had spent twenty-one years as a union Sheet Metal worker (following in his father's footsteps). Unable to continue that trade, he has now completed his debut novel, "The Healing of Reverend James." This novel began to take shape as a screenplay Thomas wrote in 1991 while working as an actor at Universal Studios, Florida. While in Florida, Thomas also worked on many writing projects, including writing columns for the monthly trade publication, "The Florida Picture Show." Thomas's second novel is in development. He was the ghostwriter for Diane Lehnig, (his wife of twenty years), on her book, "Mid-wife to the Other Side-memories of a Hospice nurse." Thomas currently lives in Ripley, New York with his wife, grandson, four dogs, three cats, and seven chickens.
