Kevin VanHook

Kevin Vanhook has successfully kept one foot in the film industry as he gained acclaim in the comics industry. As a script writer and director, he worked with Sci-Fi Channel and Starz in addition to film releases. He wrote and directed, Death Row, Slayer, Voodoo Moon, The Fallen Ones, Frost: Portrait of a Vampire, and others and also wrote and directed Fantastic Flesh, a documenatary about special effects. Kevin launched his career in Hollywood by forming a visual effects company and continues to work in that area and has provided effects for movies such as Daredevil, Hellraiser: Hellseeker, Miss Congeniality, and I, Robot. For TV shows, you can see his work on Southland, Rizzoli & Isles, The Vampire Diaries, Law & Order, and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys among others. In comics, Kevin as served as Executive Editor of Valiant Comics where he wrote and co-created Bloodshot. Prior to that, Kevin worked on a number of comics as well as the Flash Gordon comic strip which he wrote in the 1990's. His comic writing credits include Batman Confidential, Oracle, Birds of Prey, G.I. Joe, Harbringer, Red Tornado, Solar, Man of the Atom, Weird Worlds, and Superman and Batman vs. Vampires and Werewolves.
