Janette Sebring Lowrey

JANETTE SEBRING LOWREY (1892 1986) wrote mostly teen fiction during the 1940s and 1950s. Her young adult novel "Margaret" was adapted into a TV serial, "Walt Disney Presents: Annette," which aired on "The Mickey Mouse Club" in 1958, starring Annette Funicello. But Lowrey is best known as the author of "The Poky Little Puppy, " the bestselling picture book of all time (18 million copies)."
