Chris Gall

Chris Gall was eight years old when men first walked on the moon, and began building and flying model rockets at about the same time. “Some smashed into pieces when their parachutes failed,” he says, “but some left the earth with a shattering roar and flew to great heights. I like to think one of them made it to the moon.” While continuing to build rockets, Chris went on to earn a degree in fine arts from the University of Arizona and is the author and illustrator of a dozen acclaimed books, including Dinotrux, a Publishers Weekly Best Children’s Book of the Year, The Littlest Train, and Dog Vs. Cat. Go for the Moon! is his first work of children’s nonfiction. He lives in Tucson.
