Alan Kupperberg

ALAN KUPPERBERG (May 18, 1953-July 18, 2015) was a prolific comic book and comic strip artist who made his first professional sale-a weekly single-panel gag strip, The Canarsie Kid to the Canarsie Courier newspaper-just prior to being accepted at New York's High School of Art and Design in 1967. Alan's work appeared in DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Atlas Comics, National Lampoon, and dozens of other publications. He is best known for his work on The Invaders, The Defenders, The Blue Devil, Crazy Magazine's Obnoxio the Clown, National Lampoon's Frenchy the Clown, and was the artist on such syndicated newspaper comic strips as Little Orphan Annie, The Incredible Hulk, and Howard the Duck.
