With spies lurking in the bushes, her maid locked up in the local jail, and danger at every turn, Lady Rample is not one to give up or give in when there’s a mystery afoot. Armed with cocktails, lipstick, and plenty of sex appeal, she’s going to catch the spies, solve the murder, and set things right. Unless the killer gets to her first.

A trip to the Lake District reveals a sinister plot involving sea monsters, gingerbread, and...murder.

In dire need of a holiday, Lady Rample sets out for the Lake District where she finds herself in the midst of a local gingerbread war. And yes, that’s as daft as it sounds, at least in her opinion.

What’s meant to be a relaxing holiday turns into a mystery most intriguing when Lady Rample stumbles first upon a tales of a sea monster and then the very real body of a young woman in the local lake.

Fortunately, Lady Rample has several allies close at hand to help unravel the clues to this unusual mystery.

Lady Rample's Cocktails and Cake: A Cookbook of Teatime Treats from 1930s England

A cookbook collection of delicious recipes from the Lady Rample Mysteries!

From gingerbread wars to Aviation cocktails to lost historical recipes, one of my favorite parts of writing the Lady Rample Mysteries set in the 1930s is that I’m simply forced into researching all the lovely cocktails, mocktails, cakes, and other goodies that appear throughout the series. (Lady Rample’s love of such things may or may not be somewhat autobiographical.)

I thought it would be fun to create a recipe book with some of the goodies found in the Lady Rample Mysteries series so that you can try out all the yummy drinks and snacks that have you drooling! Join Lady Rample, Chaz, Aunt Butty, and the rest of the gang for afternoon tea. I can’t wait to hear about your Lady Rample-esque adventures in cake!

For fans of the Lady Rample Mysteries who may or may not also be avid watchers of the Great British Baking Show and collectors of cookery books.
