Rose should be happy—diving into dreams makes her a part of her family in the way she's always wanted. But the more time she spends in the dreamworld, the more complicated her ability becomes. Trying to balance her work, her power, and her girlfriend who doesn’t know about Atypicals, Rose seeks help. But she soon discovers that dreamdiving comes with dangers she never could have imagined. Even her carefully constructed dreamworld isn’t safe.

I'm a huge Bright Sessions fan and I loved The Infinite Noise so I was excited to read this and it didn't disappoint. At first I did have a bit of difficulty working out whose voices were behind the extra threads, in particular Damien's letters, but I thought it was really cleverly interwoven and revealed throughout the book, and every ending was beautiful. I liked having the different mediums by which each character told their story – that felt very real to me. I wasn't originally interested in reading a book from Damien's perspective but now I want to know, so nice work, I will now be reading A Neon Darkness as well.

LAUREN SHIPPEN, author of The Infinite Noise, is a writer best known for her work in fiction podcasts. She is the creator and sole writer of the popular audio drama, The Bright Sessions. She also wrote MARVELS, an audio adaptation of the popular comic and co-produced the #1 podcast Passenger List, for which she received a BBC Audio Drama Award, Webby, and British Podcast Award. Lauren was named one of Forbes's 2018 30 Under 30 in Media and one of MovieMaker Magazine's and Austin Film Festival’s 25 Screenwriters to Watch. She was born in New York City and grew up in Bronxville, New York. She currently lives in Seattle.
