This was an AMAZING book. Very informative and accurate. I would definitely recommend it to those with a morbid curiosity of serial killers or those just looking for information. The book reads like a novel. By this I mean that it is told in a narrative fashion and uses everyday language rather than jargon. This is definitely a plus for people who don't normally read or like biographies as they will have an easier time reading and understanding the book. Also, there are only a few photographs at the end and those are pretty tame and don't show any blood (for those of you concerned about gore) Overall, I loved It and I think most with an interest in the subject matter will too.

Only got the first chapter when I bought the book for 11.80 not happy :-(

Womderfully written, in depth and deeply disturbing. Harold Schechter is an amazing author who should be in any true crime enthusiasts library.

Harold Schechter is a professor of American literature and culture. Renowned for his true-crime writing, he is the author of the nonfiction books Fatal, Fiend, Bestial, Deviant, Deranged, Depraved, and, with David Everitt, The A to Z Encyclopedia of Serial Killers. He is also the author of Nevermore and The Hum Bug, the acclaimed historical novels featuring Edgar Allan Poe. He lives in New York State.
