4 Stars!! Natalie Bishop is an aspiring author, who also works as a house-sitter.. Penn, son of Manhattan Mayor, an Elite is a Professor by profession.. Natalie and Penn share a past - The encounter they had before six years did not end well.. And when Natalie meets Penn after six years, she knows that she has to be careful with him, after all she is the help and he comes from Money.. Their worlds are poles apart!! However, when Natalie meets Penn and his crew of friends, she is pulled into their world.. Despite being warned about the notorious crew and their past, she is unable to resist the pull for long.. And when Penn n Natalie reach a happy place and she starts trusting him, everything blows up.. K.A. Linde is well known for her angst!! Even that knowledge didnt prepare me for the twists, betrayal and the drama... And with that cliff hanger ending, i cant wait to read the next book in the series...

BAH!! Oh, Penn. Do I love him? Do I hate him? I think I kinda love him... I want to strangle him a bit but I think that's okay. I also think it's completely okay to feel this way about a completely fictional character. I love the charisma and the chemistry between these two. I love the complexities of Penn's different "sides". Book one was one awesome roller coaster and I can't wait to see how their story plays out!

Linde pulls the reader into an intoxicating train wreck and the emotional fall-out as one woman loses everything and more. The premise is gritty; the romance is fraught with secrets and lies; the characters are animated but broken. CRUEL MONEY ends on a cliff-hanger-you have been warned.

About the author

K.A. Linde is the USA Today bestselling author of the Avoiding Series, Wrights, and more than thirty other novels. She has a Masters degree in political science from the University of Georgia, was the head campaign worker for the 2012 presidential campaign at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and served as the head coach of the Duke University dance team. She loves reading fantasy novels, binge-watching Supernatural, traveling, and dancing in her spare time.
