I was hesitant to read this one as I am a little turned off when it comes to books about witchcraft. I was pleasantly surprised by this one! The book doesn't focus on witchcraft at all but more the independence of women. The book was about the strength, ambition and unconditional friendship of three women in the 1880's and their struggle to be self sufficient. An easy, quick read.
