it was a decent first story. Good action, romance, and amiable characters. But it was too short, not enough pages to truly develop the characters and plot. There are a few missed opportunities that could have more superbly developed any given situation; a well-placed person, a conversation, a dream... could've been used as more palatable transitions. Because of these missed opportunities, the actual shift in the characters' opinions/emotions/actions; feels abrupt. However... The premise, the world, the intrigue, and the introduction of new characters- setting up for sequels- is very well done. As for the intimate scenes; they're good... if you prefer romance with a pinch of naughty. But for the rough and tumble, leave you fanning your face, blushing and secreting the books existence? This isn't it. All that being said, I still really enjoyed it...already bought Bk-2.

Warning! Warning! DO NOT PREORDER! I pre-ordered twice and both times I had to rebuy the book because it canceled my order a few days before the release date and didn't get my money back. Other than that the book is wonderful and I can't get out of it once I start the author does such a good job making the story.

3 1/2 stars. Fast paced and sexy. I almost didn't like the h but as more of her came through, she turned out to be okay. The H is a hot-headed and stubborn dragon that doesn't believe in "the old ways" until it happens to him. Some drama but a HEA.
