Ratings and reviews

Pretty good, they're getting better. The body count in this and previous books is too far fetched, and the final few chapters all seem to make the plot feel a little rushed, but compared to some I've read recently this one deserves five stars. DS MCRae also deserves a promotion for his clear up rate, - he must get a public commendation at least. On to the next one.

Fantastic read. Time to bring in a new DCI to take Steel down a peg or two, about time she treated her staff with respect and not like idiots only there to make her cups of tea and coffee. A woman so appalling in manner, who goes through life, farting, sleeping, smoking, and taking all the credit for other officer's work, maybe the next 20 years on foot patrol will teach her some respect for other's. Bags I get the job of telling her who is boss?

Keeping it going with the dark side of crime. I enjoyed this book more so than the first, where the first finishes this continues it well!
