After looking at the videos the book had to come into play This is so enlightening and power packed. Our young men need to know there is hope... when the lights are turned down and you can not see and the choices you make are those of circumstances. Dr.. Rios the experience you have gone thought has value and power. Thank you for sharing and telling the Kid on the block- with three felony's life still has choices... Hats off.... to you!

The book was clearly written from a single perspective and doesn't take into account the justice system as a whole and other factors that contribute what the author is trying to convey. It sounds more like a book used to indoctrination and victimization.
