Perel writes big ideas about sexuality, culture, and parenthood in the same tone one friend uses to describe a restaurant to another friend. Her diction is succint, nonjudgemental, and demonstrative of her nose for, well, let's call it nonsense. I learned a smidge more about academic concepts and gained massive insight into underlying patterns of my own behavior.
