About this ebook

Book 1 of The Survivalist Series

If society collapsed, could you survive?

When Morgan Carter’s car breaks down 250 miles from his home, he figures his weekend plans are ruined. But things are about to get much, much worse: the country’s power grid has collapsed. There is no electricity, no running water, no Internet, and no way to know when normalcy will be restored—if it ever will be. An avid survivalist, Morgan takes to the road with his prepper pack on his back.

During the grueling trek from Tallahassee to his home in Lake County, chaos threatens his every step but Morgan is hell-bent on getting home to his wife and daughters—and he’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen.

Fans of James Wesley Rawles, William R. Forstchen's One Second After, and The End by G. Michael Hopf will revel in A. American's apocalyptic tale.

This book came out a couple years after the dark titan series. and it's pretty much the same story. like... plot point by plot point, guy doesnt like snakes, pretty college girl wants to join him on his walk home, half a prepper main character, wind up watch, i swear he stole this from the dark titan series, wish i hadnt bought this book. Thomas a watson wrote it way better, this is the cheap version.

So yes I like books about surviving difficult circumstances. I got lost a little with the references to various acronyms and brand name gear. Wish I would have known the glossary was at the end of the book at the beginning. Stereo typing annoyed me a little but and so did the backwoods language. But overall good story about survival. Not sure if I'll read the next one.

Not impressed. Story was ok, simple but ok, characters are straight forward but not overly developed. Biggest drawback is how the series is divided up. Four books with about 800 - 900 pages total @ $11.99 each. That's pretty expensive for ebooks and should have paired down to just two. Save your money and time, look elsewhere.
