I remember I tried to read this book many years ago, but dropped it as soon as I found it boring and nothing much outside the author's own opinion. But recently I started to read it again. It's basically an opinion piece, with some facts mixed with it, from an unqualified person. Mr Yuval is not a biologist, nor a evolutionary psychologist, nor a anthropologist, his specialties reside outside the subjects of the book. Baseless assertions everywhere, postmodernist garbage everywhere, the book starts with the origins of the humans, but doon turns politics of how corporations are myths. To the author, if person A made an agreement with person B on X, then X does not exist, it's a myth, to him, something exists only if you could touch it with your hands. He then mixes god, religion, other social constructions, with laws, money and the rest of (to him) non tangible concepts. To him money is a myth because it relies on collective agreements. This is the garbage of postmodernism.

This book is fabulous. It is deep, thorough, and enlightening. I highly recommend this to anyone with an interest in history, science, politics, our religion. It leads the reader through the ages, connecting the dots of evolution, religion, social development, human understanding and politics. A must read!
