This appears to take place chronologically after book 7 of the light novels, with spoilers. I wish I had known that before I started reading this, but as book 7 is not yet available, I'll have to wait a few months before continuing. That said, I enjoyed the first volume of this spin-off and am looking forward to finishing this volume.
