Recruiting the electric Jenny Sparks, the lethal assassin Rose Tattoo, and the city-symbiote Jack Hawksmoor, the Weatherman transforms the once-reactive troupe into a proactive, take-no-prisoners strike team, making the reader question the way that superhero teams are perceived.

Excellent stuff. With StormWatch and it's sequel series, The Authority, if Warren Ellis didn't write it, don't bother. It's as simple as that. If you buy the ones he wrote, you get superhero stories done right. Plus, with the last volume of this series, Aliens (yes, them!) get loose on Skywatch and slaughter most of the team, leading pretty much into volume 1 of The Authority. Which you should buy next, purely for Midnighter's "I won before you got here" speech and Bryan Hitch's artwork.

Volume 1 should begin with issue 1, or in this case issue 0. Why can't DC get the image books right?
