Having read the rest of the books In the series previous to this one earlier, I found Close Combat, although not as exciting as earlier reads, a very necessary continuation in the thought process for the following books in the series.

WEB Griffen is a master of the historical/fiction. His books make me dive into real WWII history with renewed vigor
