Ok book but besides the main two characters there's really no character development. For instance Farley and Shade are around throughout the entire story but u never feel like u really get to know them. The heroine whose name is Mare can't seem to get over the king, and throughout the book she constantly agonizing over how he betrayed her even though she only knew him for one whole month.

I agree with other reviewers who said the author ruined her main character. She became so awful and unlikable. Nothing much happened in the story either, it just dragged. No romance and she killed off one of the few characters who was likable and we cared about. A very disappointing sequel.

The same lines over and over. Nothing real exciting...so hard to get through it. Everything is dull and barely any excitement happens. I feel like I'm reading some parts over and over again.
