Absolutely horrible. The author couldn't be bother to actual listen to any folklore or learn anything about what she is trying to write. I am confident it would have been better written by a third grader. It bears no resemblance to any retelling of the complex and multifaceted personalities of any of the characters, and sounds exactly how a person who didnt pay the least bit of attention to a book would discribe the plot. It is an utter disgrace and I regret spending a penny, let alone 99 of them. Be warned and just don't.

I picked this book up for a dollar, I wish I hadn't. I don't know if it's a matter of bad translations or simply bad story telling, but the fables told in this book are awful. Many of them are inconsistent, make little or no sense and are completely random. All of the stories are basically the same thing with minor alterations. None of them are the least bit scary. Do yourself a favor and use the dollar to buy a candy bar, it'd be better spent that way.
