Kind of a lame ending, don't want to give any spoilers but you don't find out what happens and have to wait until the next book in July.. normally that's fine but the whole book was leading up to that point and nothing really happens. Kind of disappointed but I'll still read the next one.

Ok. I initially thought I love all the protagonists of this series equally and couldn't choose a favourite, but I was wrong. Turns out the protagonist of this book, Turtle, is my favourite. Perhaps it is because I can relate to him in more ways than one. Anyway, the second arc of this series is just as good as the first arc. I simply can't put the books down once I start reading.

Wings of Fire is my absolute favourite series, and once I got it and I looked at the cover of Talons of Power, I fell in live with how amazing it looked. When I actually got up to book 9, I loved the actual book as well. This may seem ironic, but Turtle is actually so cool! He has such good characterisation and his character development is amazing. The plot twists are good too, but there's something I always notice about the interesting Wings of Fire books. The endings are always so disppaointing. Like, come on; why would you do that to Turtle at the end after all he's faced? When you get up to the ending you'll know what I mean. But overall, the dialogue between characters (as always!) is so funny and I love the smooth plot. Mysterious antagonist; very devious in a smart way. There's not much that needs to be improved on; just the endings. Overall, good job, Tui T. Sutherland.
