I am very excited for this book! I have always wondered "what do humans think of dragons in the Wings of Fire series?" Are humans as smart as they are in real life? Now we will find out! I am giving this book four stars for now because I'm not quite sure if this book will live up to my expectations, but if it does I will be sure to edit/delete this and make my review five stars!

This book takes place in the perspectives of three humans in the Wings of Fire universe in the time of Books 1 through 5. Two characters, Wren and Leaf, were both very interesting and fun to read about. The third protagonist, Ivy, took a while to become interesting though, and she's the reason that this is a four star instead of a five star review. She became very interesting and fun to read about, but it just look a while, and I found myself a little disappointed when I reached a chapter about her, as the chapters cycle between the protagonists. She just couldn't initially match how creatively written the other two protagonists were. I appreciate how (initially) different Wren and Leaf were without making one seem bad for having a different view of dragons. All the characters felt real, and I emotionally care about them. Characterization was, for the most part, on point. I'm disappointed that this is just a Legends book, as it should have become its own series!

This book is definately rushed. The relationship between Ivy and Leaf was not only disgustingly forced, but completely unneeded. The ending of the book is the worst, being horribly rushed. Though a great read and an interesting book in the eyes of Scavengers.
