DeathNote Book 1, was a gripping, thrilling, intriguing and cliff hanging graphic novel, with excellent graphic design and artwork. I did immensely enjoy this first volume of DeathNote and can hardly wait to start DeathNote Book 2 Volume 2. 😍📖📚❤️ I'm not going to give/ruin any spoilers, but I couldn't put this 1st volume down as I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I found Light (Finder of the DeathNote Book 📖) to be a very interesting, intelligent, young (only 17) character, especially with which he has been one step ahead so far of anyone discovering his true identity. Check this first volume out and give it a read, you won't be disappointed. 5*/5* 😍❤️📖❤️😍

A very psychologically disturbing Manga. There is no blood or gore but it is among the most emotionally unsettling book or comic I have ever encountered. This is probably some of the best Manga storytelling in the last thirty years, but it is incredibly dark and the horror doesn't completely unfold till the last page. It's good escapism but it is extremely unsettling. I recommend reading something more happy or uplifting. One thing is for sure, this series will be in print for a long time, no doubts there, masterful storytelling.

This looks like it will be full of intrigue! I love the catch these two "Good guys" find themselves with each other. TO catch or be caught. To be a judge of death itself. Some curious things to ponder arise in this story. At first I kind of liked Light but he quickly becomes a bit of a jerk who obviously cares for no one but himself. Not even his own family apparently! Sheesh! Jury is out on L as of this volume. Ryuk amuses me and I loved the mini cartoon strip at the end.
