I've been disappointed by similar "The princess gets a do over" stories. This one is different. It's worth considering this "a good prototypical example" of the genre's potential. You may not like it, but at the very least it puts forward a genuine effort to take its premise seriously. I found myself sitting up and laughing in volume 1. I'm not used to that happening for the first few volumes when authors can leverage inside/recurring jokes with appropriate subtlety.

I don't usually read books like this either such a strong romantic touch but I enjoyed it very much.

Such a good book. Not your traditional overpowered issekia. Can’t wait for book 2.
