I really enjoyed the summoner books so had high hopes for this series. Unfortunately this was a very long read for me. The characters and plot was interesting but things just seemed to move very slowly and it ended far too early. Hopefully the next book picks up the pace and has more progression or I don't see myself finishing this series.

This book was great, highly recommended. Taran has a way of crafting some great worlds and dropping well developed characters right in the middle of them. Anyone that loves history or mystery will love this book.
